jeremy and ro came out for a while yesterday and had a golf cart ride around the fair site before we grabbed some lunch.
rosemary had macaroni & cheese and fried shrimp & crawfish. jeremy, a cochon de lait po-boy, and i went for a bbq chicken sandwich. we parked in the shade and ate listening to the music wafting out from the jazz tent. once ro decided she wanted to drive the cart, i knew it was time for her and her daddy to head home.
dad and alcide came out a little later. those two ended up hanging at the jazz tent shortly after they got here, enjoying ellis marsalis on piano. brilliant.
we had a little icky weather at the end of th day, right around 5pm. but when maze drew their set to a close singing 'joy & pain' (i like sunshine and rain) it was just perfect.
now, back to a somewhat normal existence...
