i had no idea people would be so interested in something as minute as my kid's lunch.
maybe its my own fault for being so nervous about the one thing i should never have been nervous about in the first place: feeding my daughter.
we breastfed exclusively as long as i could, then when i went back to work for jazz fest last year, i had to pump and pump and pump - and the greedy little girl drank it ALL in one weekend.
enter formula. soy formula. we split the difference with what i could pump and the formula for second festival weekend. it hurt like hell to have to do that, but it was the only way i could work the demands of festy-ness and not have the kiddo glued to the boob.
she still clings for comfort, but the weaning has begun.
now that she's started preschool, i have to make lunch for her everyday - and being a cook, this isn't such a foreign idea except for this: what do you feed your one year old (and counting) daughter who expects that anything on your plate to be fair game for her snacking?
she truly is a crumbsnatcher.
thusly, i feed her what i like to eat. because she's avidly interested in what i'm eating and so far, she has a fairly sophisticated palate for her age or any other.
i will be sharing pictures of her lunch (when warranted), listing the more mundane menus, and maybe even throwing y'all a recipe now and then when something is a particular hit.
enjoy!
